It’s the most wonderful hectic time of the year. With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, a lot of things can fall by the wayside. In between holiday gatherings, concerts/plays/recitals, championship games, and digging out the menorah or shopping for your tree, the last thing you need is to add something to your already packed to-do list. But a new year and new goals are right around the corner, so how do you strike a balance between doing too much and not enough?
We’re sharing our secret (work) family recipe with five ways we keep in touch during the holiday season.
1 Cup of Holiday Wishes and Thank Yous:
We’d be nothing without our amazing team, partners, and clients. We genuinely love what we do – and it’s because of who we get to work with each day. December is a great time to reflect on the last year and celebrate all we’ve achieved together. Sending holiday wishes and thank you messages to everyone we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with is, by far, one of the best parts of the year. Strongly recommend.
2 Teaspoons of Communicating PTO and Office Closures
With all the excitement the end of the year brings, it’s important to communicate company closures, modified business hours, who’s there, and in what capacity. Always have a plan for who your clients, partners, and yes, even internal team members can go to when their main contact is out of the office, enjoying their well-earned PTO.
3 Quarts of Keeping Up with Social Media
The holidays are a great time to be social. We’ve already said it, but we love our team. Between company happy hours, holiday soirees (in-person or virtual), give back opportunities, and more, we love to share our team’s fun and goofy side with all of you. And we love to see yours, too!
4 Pints of Keeping Up with Your Blog
Sure, as the holidays get closer, there will be less and less of a physical presence at work, but that doesn’t mean you should give up your routine. People are always looking to connect with other people. Whether it’s through tips and tricks or fun, holiday messages, consistent content is key. Share expert advice, experiences, and more throughout the year.
5 Dashes of Here When You Need Us Mentality
Every business and client relationship are different, and we believe they should be treated as such. Some companies are running on a skeletal crew in December and don’t have new projects, whereas others find it’s one of their busiest months of the year. It can be a great time to plan or implement new ideas. Always be in the know with when and where you can offer a hand. At Liquid, our team is as flexible as we can be as things come up. We find the key to success is communicating early and often and aligning on goals, expectations, and timing.
Wrap Up:
And that’s how we bake the perfectly balanced recipe of keeping in touch over the holidays.
